Job summary

South Texas Health System in Pharr, TX is seeking a qualified Computed Tomography Technologist to perform CT exams, ensure accuracy, and maintain safety standards. You will screen patients for contrast, review orders with radiologists, and coordinate care with nursing staff.

The role requires current BCLS, ARRT Radiography, Texas MRT license, and CT certification; CT experience and professional membership are preferred. Weekend/evening/on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold current BCLS certification.
• 2 years CT and/or Radiography experience preferred.
• Membership in related professional organization preferred.
• Adherence to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Computed Tomography exams.
• Performs quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer.
• Evaluates orders with radiologist if needed; ensures correct exam.
• Screens patients for oral/IV contrast contraindications.
• Interacts with hospital staff regarding patient care and concerns.
• Maintains performance skills consistently.
• Routinely works weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and on-call as needed.
