Job summary

South Texas Health System in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Computed Tomography to join our radiology team. You will perform CT exams, ensure QC procedures, and collaborate with radiologists to verify orders and select the correct study.

The role requires ARRT (R) in Radiology with CT certification preferred, Texas MRT licensure, and current BCLS. Candidates should be prepared for weekend/evening/night on-call coverage as needed and maintain up-to-date skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school in Radiologic Technology.
• Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in Texas.
• ARRT Certification (R) in Radiology; Certification (C) in CT preferred.
• Must have current BCLS certification.
• 2 years CT or Radiography experience preferred.
• Membership in related professional organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Computed Tomography exams.
• Performs quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer.
• Evaluates orders with radiologist if needed to ensure correct exam.
• Screens patients for contraindications to oral or IV contrast.
• Interacts with hospital staff regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts and helps resolve them.
• Maintains performance skills and is available for weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and on-call as needed.
