Job summary

UAB Medicine is expanding its Emergency Department at UAB Hospital, Alabama’s first ACS-verified Level I Adult Trauma Center, and we’re hiring CT technologists. You will support 115+ treatment spaces, a 30-bed observation unit, and advanced CT/X-ray/echo equipment with teleadmission capabilities.

Shifts are full‑time with AM/PM coverage, weekends, and 7a–7p or 7p–7a schedules. Start date could be between now and August 2026.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by ARRT/NMTCB standards.
• 1 year experience in general radiography preferred.
• Currently ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) or NMTCB certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT).
• Within 1 year of hire, obtain CT designation from ARRT or NMTCB.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures at a technical level with minimal supervision.
• Execute a variety of CT procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
