Job summary

Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ seeks a CT Technologist to provide precise diagnostic CT imaging under radiologist oversight.

You will perform CT exams, ensure patient safety, positions, and data entry in RadNet/PACS, delivering high-quality exams to support accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification or equivalent required.
• Arizona radiologic technologist licensure preferred.
• BLS certification beneficial.

• Adhere to safety goals, patient identification, and ALARA principles.
• Enter patient data accurately in RadNet/PACS and complete necessary forms.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional Procedures, Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus.
• Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams.
• Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
• Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation
• Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet.

Required

• Completion of approved American of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved RadiologicTechnologist Program
• Medical Radiographer: AZ
• CT Radiology Tech: AZ
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
• American Heart Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred

• Three years of CT experience
