Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and create high-quality diagnostic images to support radiologists. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate data entry into imaging systems.

Candidates should hold a Radiologic Technologist program credential and ARRT certifications, with CPR/BLS. Relocation assistance of $10,000 is offered and the position is based in Prescott Valley, AZ within the DH-YRMC network family.

Qualifications

• Radiologic Technologist Program required.
• AZ MRAD or CTRAD certification required or in process.
• RTR or RTCT ARRT certification required.
• American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans per protocol and radiologist guidance.
• Adheres to ALARA and radiation safety practices.
• Ensures accurate patient identification and documentation in PACS/RadNet.
• Conducts CT reconstructions on 3-D workstation and completes forms.
• Maintains patient care and safety during imaging procedures.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process. To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional
• Procedures, Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus.
• Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams. Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
• Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation
• Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet.
• Completes incident reports/extravasations forms. Completes patient contrast information forms. Scans in documentation as required into PACS
