Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Yavapai Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled CT Technologist to capture diagnostic CT images and support radiologists in accurate diagnoses. You will perform CT exams including trauma, perfusion, routine body and neuro, while upholding ALARA and delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Radiologic Technologist Program.
• AZ radiology registrations or certifications: MRAD:AZ, CTRAD:AZ, RTR or RTCT.
• BLS/CPR certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans per current protocols and radiologist recommendations, including Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, and Cardiac procedures.
• Ensures proper patient identification and uses ALARA for patient safety.
• Performs work-ups and reconstructions on 3-D workstations; completes required forms and documents in PACS/RadNet.
• Completes incident reports and contrast information forms as required.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional Procedures, Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus.
• Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams. Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
• Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation
• Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet.
• Completes incident reports/extravasations forms. Completes patient contrast information forms. Scans in documentation as required into PACS
