Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist specialized in Computed Tomography to provide diagnostic CT services in inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings. You will follow established protocols, operate CT equipment safely, and ensure high-quality imaging with appropriate contrast administration.

Qualifications include ARRT CT certification within 1 year, BLS, IEMA radiologic licensure, and ARRT radiography registration.

Qualifications

ARRT CT certification within 1 year.
BLS certification within 30 days.
Illinois IEMA Radiologic Technologist license.
ARRT Radiography registration.
College diploma in a related field; Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

Positions patients correctly, using proper immobilization techniques.
Performs optimal scans using correct technical factors and protocols based on patient data.
Use correct CT technical factors to minimize radiation while ensuring diagnostic quality.
Follow CT workflow: prepare patient, verify orders, acquire history, scan, and document in the system.
Administer contrast media per policy and monitor patient during procedures.
Refer complex issues to department management.
Transport patients as needed and assist on CT table.
Explain delays to patients and manage expectations.
Document patient history and charting to support exam appropriateness.
Charge for supplies and ensure accurate documentation.
