Job summary

BMC Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures with state-of-the-art equipment. You will rotate through diagnostic radiology and adhere to radiation safety practices to ensure patient safety and image quality.

Qualified radiographers with ARRT/NMTCB certification and WV radiography license are preferred. This role includes night shifts, 40 hours weekly, and ongoing professional development through our CT ladder program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• ARRT or NMTCB certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess current Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided.
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment, materials for patient exams and maintains sterile technique.
• Performs examinations per Physician’s orders and explains procedures to patients.
• Observes patient and equipment; reports unusual occurrences and assists patients as needed.
• Documents status of patient in radiology/CT procedure and discusses variances with Radiologist.
• Maintains stock supplies and ensures proper film labeling and quality of images.
• Practices safe radiation exposure and overall safety for patients and staff.
