Job summary

WVU Medicine Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Centers in Martinsburg, WV, seeks an experienced CT technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures, rotate through radiology, and uphold safety standards for patients and staff. Responsibilities include preparing rooms, following protocols, obtaining quality images, using PACS, and contributing to quality improvement.

The role requires graduation from a Medical Imaging Program, ARRT or NMTCB certification within 6 months, and a valid radiography

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Radiography certification with ARRT or NMTCB within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment and supplies for patient exams with sterile technique.
• Performs CT examinations per physician orders and communicates variations from protocol.
• Observes patients and equipment; transports and assists as needed.
• Documents patient status and radiology procedures in the chart; ensures high quality imaging.
• Maintains stock and adheres to infection control and safety policies.
• Operates PACS to verify exams are complete and available for radiologist review.
