Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical imaging program.
• Radiography certification with ARRT or NMTCB within 6 months of hire.
• Current radiography license as required by the state where services will be provided.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• State and federal background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and equipment for patient exams and maintains sterile technique.
• Performs CT examinations per physician orders and communicates with radiologist.
• Observes patients and equipment, reporting any unusual occurrences.
• Documents patient status and exam details in the chart.
• Maintains supplies and proper film labeling; ensures quality and safety.
• Practices safe radiation exposure and protects patients, staff and visitors.
• Uses PACS to ensure exams are available for interpretation.
• May perform IV insertion/blood draws and contrast administration as directed.
