Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Technical Program.
• Radiologic Technologist (Temporary) Permit required at time of hire.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License required within 180 days of permit issuance.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (X-Ray) required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 1 year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Imaging Procedures & Protocol Compliance: Follow accepted radiologic practices and comply with requisitions and standards.
• Patient Care & Safety: Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure safety and infection control.
• Information Systems & Documentation: Use HIS/RIS, schedule exams, and document details per procedures.
• Equipment Operation & Quality Control: Set up CT equipment, perform QC checks, operate safely, report malfunctions.
