Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT and radiographic procedures with attention to patient safety and accurate documentation. The role requires operating CT equipment, preparing patients, and following physician orders and departmental protocols.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate degree or accredited radiologic program, ARRT CT certification within 1 year, and NYS licensure within required timelines. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or accredited program in radiologic technology.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License within 180 days of permit issuance.
• ARRT CT certification within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT Radiography (X-Ray) certification within 180 days.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures per physician orders and department protocols.
• Prepare and operate CT equipment; position patients for optimal images.
• Verify orders, document exams, and maintain HIS/RIS accuracy.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control practices.
• Collaborate with staff to optimize imaging workflow.

Education

Associate degree or completion of an accredited technical program

NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License required within 180 days of permit issuance

ARRT Certification in Radiography (X-Ray) required within 180 days of hire

ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 1 year of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
