Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Technical Program.
• NYS License required.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License required within 180 days of permit issuance.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (X-Ray) required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 1 year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and radiographic examinations per physician orders, departmental protocols, and safety standards.
• Follows accepted radiologic practices to determine appropriate imaging protocols and adjusts as needed.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintains patient safety, infection control, and contrast administration protocols.
• Demonstrates proficiency with hospital and radiology information systems (HIS/RIS) and documentation.
