Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and post-care clearly using AIDET; address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol and perform venipuncture if needed.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and re-correct as needed; release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate documentation in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as required.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate with other technologists to support department operations.
• Maintain orderly and stocked work areas; comply with regulatory requirements and escalate issues as needed.
