Job summary

Wellstar seeks a CT Technologist for the Cobb Hospital radiology team in Georgia. The full-time, day-shift role focuses on safe, high-quality imaging and a positive patient experience within a collaborative care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, maintaining ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, and verify patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients, reducing anxiety and ensuring comfort.
• Ensure patient privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care during visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and reprocess when needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers or retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate to support department operations and compliance.
• Elevate issues to the supervisor and maintain orderly, sterile work areas.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
