Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is required.
• AR​RT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• AR​RT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment independently while maintaining ALARA principles.
• Maintain infection control by cleaning and disinfecting rooms and reporting equipment issues.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients, addressing questions and reducing anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using proper venipuncture techniques.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat as necessary.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers or prior exam retrieval.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department operations.

Educación

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience: 1 year in Radiology

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)

BLS (Basic Life Support)
