Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will join a respected clinical team with a focus on safety, accuracy, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, maintaining diagnostic quality at ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients, addressing questions and reducing anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat/correct as needed.
• Document accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS, including transfers.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
• Support operations, keep areas orderly, and follow regulatory requirements.
