Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality CT imaging and provide a supportive patient experience. The technologist will work as a valued member of a collaborative care team in a busy radiology department.

The candidate will perform CT procedures, ensure diagnostic image quality, and maintain ALARA principles while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. A strong certification and radiologic training background are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R certification required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and post-care using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety and ensure comfort.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and communicate results; document studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with crash cart readiness as needed.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow with other technologists.
