Qualifications

• Advanced Radiologic Technology training beyond high school.
• No experience required for this role.
• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills to work with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures (head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities).
• Obtains patient history and ensures exam accuracy with orders.
• Positions patient and selects scanning factors, ensures image quality and radiation safety.
• Prepares/ administers contrast media under Radiologist direction and assists in scanning techniques.
• Post-processes images and labels studies with patient details for accurate interpretation.
• Documents billing codes and enters data into RIS.
