Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist for our freestanding ER/urgent care clinic. You will perform computed tomography procedures in line with ARRT standards and hospital policies, while prioritizing patient safety and optimal imaging

The role requires ARRT radiologic technology certification, Texas licensure, and CT-specific training; prior CT experience is preferred and a strong emphasis on radiation safety and contrast handling will be essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• CT curriculum covering 3 semester hours of Sectional Anatomy or 16 hours post graduate CEU's Cross Sectional Anatomy.
• One year experience performing Computed Tomography procedures is preferred.
• Certified or Temporary Certified by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist; and Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); and Post- primary CT certification within 1 year of CT assignment; and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.

Responsibilities

• The CT Technologist performs CT procedures in accordance with ARRT standards and hospital policies.
• Optimizes radiation use following Image Gently and Image Wisely principles.
• Maintains patient care, safety, positioning, and radiographic technique.

Education
