Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures following department protocols. The role involves operating CT scanners, ensuring image quality, and coordinating with Radiology staff to deliver timely results.

The candidate must have ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB and obtain ARRT CT registry within one year of hire; BLS is required. This position requires lifting and sustained patient contact in a fast-paced environment in Pineville, NC.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT Radiology or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine certification and ARRT CT registry within 1 year; BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and patient population care.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers to Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and explains procedures.
• Reviews in-patients, ER and outpatient EMRs for pertinent history and records medical history on requisitions.
• Performs CT scanning from start to finish and assists Radiologist/PA as needed.
• Maintains radiation safety, sterile technique, and infection control in all procedures.
• Rotates shifts, may be on call, holidays, and weekends; adheres to attendance policy.
