LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA seeks a dedicated CT Technician to operate CT equipment, acquire diagnostic images, and assist radiologists. This full-time night-shift position involves preparing patients, administering contrast, and maintaining sterile, ready examination rooms.

Candidates should graduate from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, have BLS within 30 days, and preferably ARRT-CT certification and CT experience.

Responsabilidades

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images as ordered by the physician.
• Explain procedures and position patients to obtain optimal images.
• Interpret scanning instructions and administer contrast materials.
• Prepare and operate CT scan equipment; assist radiologist with medications and contrast, biopsies and care.
• Prepare examination rooms and monitor supplies; maintain room cleanliness.

Hourly Wage Estimate: $32.95 - $49.42 / hour

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a CT Technologist, you would operate CT equipment, to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. You will prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient to capture optimal images requested by the physician.

You will accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment.

Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.

Prepare examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures.

Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-CT certification preferred.
• CT experience preferred.

Hours: Full time, night shift (Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7pm-7am)
