Job summary

Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine and specialized CT imaging in accordance with department standards. You will produce high-quality CT images used for diagnosis, while supporting patient care and safety.

The role requires AMA-accredited radiology training, ARRT CT and radiographer registrations within 1 year, and BCLS within 30 days. On-call availability and CT experience are preferred to join our collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiology program or equivalent certificate/degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT CT registration must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• ARRT Radiographer registration must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• Two years CT scanning experience preferred with additional CT training.
• On-call ability and prompt response within 30 minutes of call back.

Responsibilities

• Position patients on CT table and assist with procedures.
• Initiate IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• Assess image quality and adjust settings as needed to optimize exams.
• Provide post-procedure instructions and release patient.
• Prepare room using aseptic technique and sterilize equipment between patients.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images of the used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Prefer Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or Prefer degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
• On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
