Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine and specialized CT imaging and assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. The role requires patient care, image quality assessment, and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols across multiple Kansas City locations.

The position entails scheduled 12-hour shifts on Thursdays and Fridays at the Brookside campus, with additional Saturday CT duties at the Research Main Campus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
• ARRT registration must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• BCLS (or CPR) certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Position patients on CT table and assist with procedures.
• Start IVs for contrast when necessary.
• Assess image quality and adjust settings as needed.
• Provide post-procedure instructions and patient care.
• Maintain aseptic technique between patients and clean sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images of the used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Schedule: Thursday and Friday 12 hour day shifts at Brookside campus for CT and X-ray. Saturday 12 hour day shift at Research Main Campus in CT

What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Prefer Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or Prefer degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
• On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
