Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Ohio is seeking a CT Radiologic Technologist to join a patient-first imaging team. This role supports days from 9:00am to 5:30pm and emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient care.

You will perform CT imaging for patients of all ages, prepare and educate patients, and maintain the CT area and PACS workflow. A strong focus on QA and collaboration with caregivers is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT RT(R) certification in good standing.
• CT certification within one year of hire.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide CT imaging and patient care services for patients of all ages.
• Prepare patients prior to CT study and verify study relevance.
• Acquire chart data and ensure correct room setup; review contraindications.
• Maintain safety and comfort during procedures and educate patients.
• Administer contrast media within scope of practice and regulations.
• Maintain CT area, including equipment and documentation; ensure QA.

A caregiver in this position works days, from 9:00am—5:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels for patients of all ages.
• Check and prepare patients prior to CT study.
• Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems and contraindications to the study.
• Verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
• Assure patient's safety and comfort during procedures.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Perform VNA punctures as necessary.
• Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including the technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems to appropriate individuals.
• Maintain available equipment up-to-time at the highest level.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
• Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Current state licensure required prior to employment.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $33.50

Maximum hourly: $48.50
