Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a PRN CT Technologist at South Pointe Hospital to operate CT scanners, position patients, and ensure accurate imaging per physician instructions.

The position requires ARRT CT certification within one year of hire, BLS, and strong knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy. You will educate patients and maintain CT area operations; prior radiology experience is preferred.

  • Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain all aspects of the CT area including technical and clerical components to ensure quality and documentation.

PRN CT Technologist

Computed tomography (CT) technologists use computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross‑section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.

Shift Schedule
A caregiver in this position works days/evenings/nights/weekends from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 3:30 PM – 10:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire patients chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set‑up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
  • Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain all aspects of the CT area including the technical and clerical components to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) and in good standing.
  • Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within one year of hire: R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $42.00
Maximum hourly: $42.00
