Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Warrensville Heights is seeking a CT Technologist to produce cross-sectional images and assist in diagnosing medical issues. You will operate the CT scanner, position patients, and administer contrast under physician instructions, contributing to high-quality patient care.

The role requires ARRT CT certification, BLS, and state licensure, with a four-night per week schedule and on-call duty. A sign-on bonus up to $5,000 is offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
  • Current state licensure (RL) prior to employment
  • Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • As a CT Technologist, you will produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of various medical issues.
  • Utilizing your advanced training and knowledge, you will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
  • This role is critical in the overall treatment of our patients, making you an invaluable asset to the Cleveland Clinic system.
  • A caregiver who excels in this role will work four 10-hour night shifts from 8:30 p.m. — 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 p.m. — 6:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with on-call and holiday rotation requirements. No weekends are required.

  • Acquire patients chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
  • Current state licensure (RL) prior to employment
  • Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
