Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to produce cross‑sectional images, operate CT equipment, administer contrast, and position patients to capture high‑quality images in the Emergency Room and inpatient settings.

This role is eligible for a sign‑on bonus of up to $5,000. You will participate in imaging procedures, ensure ALARA standards, and collaborate with the department to support patient care and diagnostics.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Technologist with ARRT in good standing.
  • CT Certification (ARRT) within one year of hire.
  • Current state licensure.
  • BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Preferred: Two years imaging technologist experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ionizing radiation procedures to detect pathology.
  • Handle routine, emergent, invasive and special procedures.
  • Operate CT equipment safely meeting ALARA standards.
  • Coordinate scheduling, patient information, networking and informatics.
  • Document in charts and ensure electronic data is transmitted correctly.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation.
  • Provide copies of imaging studies.
  • Adhere to state and national regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for daily schedule.
  • Collaborate with leadership to meet department goals.

Job Summary

Join our team at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital. This CT Technologist position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus of up to $5,000. You will produce cross‑section images of internal organs and tissues, operate state‑of‑the‑art CT equipment, administer contrast materials, and position patients to capture high‑quality images. The role includes work in both the Emergency Room and inpatient settings, playing a critical part in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology.
  • Perform routine, emergent, invasive and special procedures.
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing procedures.
  • Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, patient information, networking and informatics.
  • Document in charts and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation.
  • Provide copies of imaging studies.
  • Abide by all regulations that apply to state and national standards.
  • Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T.(R) (ARRT)) in good standing.
  • Certification in Computed Tomography (R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)) within one year of hire.
  • Current state licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Psychological demands: ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize multiple assignments, collaborate with the healthcare team, and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Special demands: minimal sustained direction, self‑starting and self‑motivating, with working hours that may exceed eight (8) hours per day as needed.
  • Physical demands: requires sitting at a workstation or desk; standing; occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs; finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard.
  • Personal protective equipment: follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Compliance and Health Requirements
  • All employees must comply with Cleveland Clinic’s influenza prevention program, which includes obtaining an annual influenza vaccination or an approved exemption.
