Job summary

Lakeview Hospital in Utah is seeking a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. In this role you will assist radiologists, administer contrast, operate CT equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

You will follow ALARA standards, prepare injectors, assist interventional radiology procedures, keep a clean work area, and stock supplies while providing high quality care to patients and families. The position requires ARRT certifications, an associate degree, and BCLS; Lakeview offers

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• BCLS certification to be obtained within 7 days of start date.
• ARRT-CT certification within 1 year of employment.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral and IV contrast and monitor for reactions.
• Load and operate MedRad power injector.
• Operate CT equipment and apply ALARA standards; follow physician protocols.
• Assist interventional radiologists during procedures.
• Maintain a clean department and stock supplies.
• Assist patients onto/off the scanner table.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a CT Technologist, you will work with our friendly radiologists assisting with various types of procedures. There are always opportunities to learn new things and be challenged in your career. Members of that team consider themselves a family where each member works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

• you will administer both oral and IV contrast; evaluate patients for any allergic reactions; place correct IV for the exam being performed.
• you will be loading and operating MedRad power injector.
• you will operate and understand CT scanning equipment; practice ALARA standards; understand physician protocols and scan appropriately.
• you will be assisting interventional radiologists with procedures.
• you will be maintaining a clean work environment and stock the department with supplies and linens.
• you will be moving, lifting, and assisting patients onto and off the scanner table.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Associate Degree
