Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
• ARRT-CT certification must be obtained within 6 months.
• Must hold ARRT-R Radiography certification.
• Graduation from a vocational school is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral and IV contrast and evaluate allergic reactions.
• Perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures with minimal supervision.
• Conduct exams as per orders from physicians.
• Follow guidelines set by Diagnostic Imaging Department standards.
• Operate CT scanning equipment and comply with ALARA standards.

Job Summary

Schedule: Thur, Fri, Sat 8:00am thru 8:30 pm (3 - 12 hour shifts per week)

As a CT Technologist, you will work with our friendly radiologists assisting with various types of procedures. There are always opportunities to learn new things and be challenged in your career. Responsibilities

• Administer both oral and IV contrast; evaluate patients for any allergic reactions; place correct IV for the exam being performed.
• Perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures at a technical level that does not require direct supervision on neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Perform exams as requested by ordering physicians and under the guidelines set by the standards of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
• Perform all assigned duties by the Cat Scan Supervisor, Assistant Director or Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
• Operate and understand CT scanning equipment; practice ALARA standards; understand physician protocols and scan appropriately.
