Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN seeks a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform imaging procedures, ensure patient care quality, and support staff training.

Strong collaboration with physicians and adherence to safety protocols is essential. This role offers opportunities to work in a large, community-focused facility with advanced imaging services and a commitment to staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.
• ARRT registered; CT Certification or acquired within 6 months.
• 1-3 years minimum CT experience.

Responsibilities

• Assure adequate staffing and flex as needed.
• Coordinate daily technologist assignments.
• Ensure exams are completed and logged in take status.
• Operate department equipment safely.
• Teach and mentor radiology students.
• Implement proper exposure techniques and positioning.
• Demonstrate knowledge of drug actions and contraindications.
• Help manage supplies cost-effectively.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. CT technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Assure adequate staffing according to volume, flexing when necessary.
• Coordinates daily technologist assignments.
• Assures that all exams are completed and put in take status.
• Operates all department equipment safely and properly
• Teaches and mentors radiology students
• Implements proper exposure techniques and positioning.
• Demonstrates knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration.
• Helps manages supplies in a cost-effective manner.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Must be a graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
