Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX, seeks a CT Technician to operate CT equipment, position patients, and deliver high-quality diagnostic scans. You will manage image processing, ensure correct exposure factors, and maintain records in PACS, while upholding strict radiation safety standards.

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program with ARRT CT preferred; CT technologists work closely with radiologists and clinicians to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program (Associates degree or vocational).
• ARI (CT) credential preferred or ARRT CT certification desirable.
• Knowledge of radiographic physics and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and positions patients for scans with correct technique.
• Performs reconstruction and processing, evaluates image adequacy and positioning.
• Maintains patient safety, observes for changes in condition, and communicates with physician as needed.
• Performs clerical tasks, requisitions, and records data in PACS/logs.
• Maintains sterile techniques and adheres to Radiation Safety standards.
