Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic scans. The role requires ARRT CT and radiologic technologist certifications, along with strong patient safety practices.

You will participate in data processing, image reconstruction, and adherence to radiation safety standards while maintaining accurate records and providing excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Operates CT equipment and positions patients for radiographic scans.
• Evaluates completed radiographs/scans for positioning and adequacy.
• Maintains sterile technique and follows radiation safety standards.
• Records and codes patient exams and ensures correct film identification.
• Keeps current with CT imaging trends and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Instructs patients and explains procedures to ensure cooperation and comfort.
• Performs data reconstruction and processing tasks as needed.
• Observes patients closely, provides first aid if necessary, and communicates with physicians when exams differ from patient condition.
• Performs clerical tasks including requisition completion and data entry for exams.
• Maintains logs and records in PACS and other imaging systems.
