Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved program in Radiologic Technology (Associates degree or Vocational).
• ARRT (CT) Credential preferred.
• Texas Medical Board Certification as Medical Radiologic Technologist required.
• ARRT Registration required.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to make radiographic scans of designated portions of the body.
• Adjusts equipment and patient to correct positions for each examination; explains procedures to patients.
• Performs reconstruction and processing of data; evaluates radiographs for positioning and technique.
• Maintains sterile technique; follows radiation safety standards and safety programs.
• Records hours worked; completes requisitions and enters data into PACS/logs.
• Supports patient comfort by adjusting immobilization devices and ensuring accurate identification of films.
