Job summary

Highpoint Health - Riverview with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a CT Technician (PRN) to join our imaging team. You will perform CT procedures, prepare patients, and ensure image quality.

Requirements include ARRT CT certification and BLS; 1 year radiology or CT experience preferred; Associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year in Radiologic technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or CT procedures preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS; ARRT Registry in CT required within 1 year of hire/transfer.

  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition and respond to changes as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implement safety standards and QC procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
  • Enter, transmit and report scan results.

How you'll contribute

- When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.

- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

- Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.

- Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).

- Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.

What we're looking for:

Education:Graduated from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine required. Associate's degree preferred.

Experience:1 year in Radiologic technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or CT procedures preferred.

Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS), ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required (within 1 year hire/transfer).
