Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ seeks a night shift, full-time CT Technologist to perform CT exams and support imaging services. You will assist in patient care, transport, and data entry into PACS/HIS while ensuring a clean, efficient imaging area.

The ideal candidate is ARRT-registered, holds NJ X-ray licensure, and has or will obtain CT certification with 6 months of hire; BLS is required within 14 days of starting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registered as RT.
• CT Certification or certification eligible with successful completion within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray compliance.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering personalized, professional patient care and imaging services.
• Perform all CT examinations and transport patients to imaging services.
• Prepare departmental paperwork and enter/retrieve patient data in PACS/HIS.
• Answer department phones, schedule patients, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Get to Know Your Team:

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional, and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all CT examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as an RT.
• CT Certification or certification eligible with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed by the Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray compliance, State of New Jersey.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous employment as a Radiology Technologist.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
