Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ seeks a variable shift, PRN CT Scan Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures for both adults and children. You will prepare patients, select contrast dosing, and monitor for adverse reactions during scanning.

Requirements include 3 years of CT experience, NJ license, ARRT certification, and BLS within 14 days of hire. Associate degree in Applied Science preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in CT scan.
• Active and current New Jersey State License—NJDEP Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• The Cat Scan Technologist will be responsible for performing Cat Scan diagnostic imaging and Cat Scan interventional procedures on adult and pediatric patients.
• Prepare patients for scanning
• Determine appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered
• Provide accurate explanations and instructions
• Perform venipuncture, IV patency and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines
• Monitor the patient’s physical condition for any adverse reactions during the procedure
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in CT scan.

• Maintains CEU Credits.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree is Applied Science.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
