Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a CT CT Scan Technician at Bellevue to perform radiographic and CT procedures. You will prepare, position, and acquire high-quality images while following physician orders and safety protocols.

The role requires ARRT radiography and CT certifications, NYS license within 180 days, and BLS. Strong patient communication and adherence to HIPAA are essential; a supportive hospital environment offers development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or accredited Technical Program required.
• Radiologic Technologist (Temporary) Permit required at hire.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License within 180 days of permit issuance.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (X-Ray) required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 1 year of hire.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and radiographic procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures cooperation.
• Maintains patient safety and infection control practices.
• Operates and maintains CT equipment and related peripherals.
• Schedules exams and documents details in HIS/RIS.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies.
