Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Northeast Ohio is seeking a CT Technologist to perform and assist with CT imaging and CT-guided procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for inpatients and outpatients. The role requires ARRT certification and Ohio licensure, with on-call support and collaboration with radiologists and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include educating patients, coordinating scheduling, and applying critical thinking in a fast-paced environment within the CT department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
• Registered Radiology Technologist with ARRT
• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period

Responsibilities

• Produce quality CT images in a variety of settings.
• Assist with CT guided procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations.
• Schedule and coordinate imaging for inpatients and outpatients.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain understanding and comfort.
• Demonstrate on-the-spot critical thinking and effective communication, working independently or as part of the CT team
