Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the Imaging Services Director. You will operate radiographic equipment, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality images for diagnosis while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities include positioning, selecting exposure factors, fluoroscopy when allowed, and training new staff. Certification in Radiologic Technology and CA permits are required, with BLS and ACLS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Two years of CT experience or one year in a specialty with ARRT certification in that specialty.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CA DHS RHB Supervisor Operator Permit for Fluoroscopy preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Determines exposure factors based on height, weight, and area of body involved.
• Operates radiographic equipment to produce images with proper detail and density.
• Assists radiologists with fluoroscopy when permitted (CA license required).
• Prepares images for reading by radiologist or physician.
• Maintains records and performs routine equipment maintenance and safety checks.
