Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Mammography experience or 1 year in a specialty with ARRT certification.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CA Licensure: ARRT Fluoroscopy, Venipuncture; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Prepares and positions patients for imaging.
• Adjusts immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Determines exposure factors and positions equipment.
• Operates radiologic equipment in OR, ER, or bedside.
• Assists radiologists with fluoroscopy when permitted.
• Prepares images for reading and performs quality control.
• Performs routine maintenance and arranges repairs.
• Practices radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Trains new hires and students.
• Fills in for Supervising Radiology Technologist when needed.
• Performs other related duties.
