Qualifications

Responsibilities
Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views.
Determines exposure factors and positions equipment accordingly.
Operates radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
Assists radiologists with fluoroscopic and X-ray exams when permitted.
Prepares and processes images for radiologist review.
Maintains radiation safety and records; conducts routine equipment maintenance.
