Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, NE is seeking a CT & MRI Technologist to perform CT and MRI scans with attention to safety, patient care, and accurate imaging workflows.

You will operate scanners, position patients, and educate on contrast media while coordinating with radiologists. The role requires ARRT certification and at least two years of experience, with a full-time schedule and rotating call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved, accredited School of Radiologic Technology or an Education in Radiologic Technology from an approved program in the U.S. Military required.
• ARRT in Radiography and MRI within 90-days of transfer or hire required.
• Minimum of two years' experience required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and MRI scanners per safety procedures and verify patient, site, and protocols.
• Position patients and instruct on scans using immobilization and protective devices.
• Administer and educate about contrast media; manage reactions and post-procedure instructions.
• Send images to PACS and demonstrate basic PACS knowledge.
• Evaluate scans for technical quality and label images.
• Route images and history to interpreting radiologist.
• Ensure correct charging of procedures and supplies.
• Participate in department performance improvement and survey readiness.
• Demonstrate radiology service standards.
• Obtain insurance prior authorizations for CT and MRI studies.
• Provide patient care and education.
