Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital in West Omaha is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and manage scanner operations, ensuring patient safety and image quality. You will work a full-time schedule with 8- or 10-hour days, rotating call covering x-ray and OR and rotating holidays, and collaborate with radiology staff to deliver timely, accurate imaging and route studies to the radiologist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT in Radiography and CT; Nebraska licensure.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scanning and operation of CT equipment following radiation safety procedures.
• Verifies patient, site, positioning, and protocol accuracy for each CT scan.
• Instructs and immobilizes patients for CT imaging; administers contrast when indicated and manages reactions.
• Sends images to PACS and ensures correct labeling and history routing to radiologist.
• Ensures proper charging of procedures and supplies; participates in performance improvement activities.
