Job summary

Massena Hospital seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology, CT, and mammography procedures in a per diem capacity. You will assist radiologists in interventional procedures and ensure imaging meets quality and safety standards.

Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, NYS license (or permit with licensure within six months), ARRT certification within 1 year if licensed after 2007, and AHA BLS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State license or permit and licensure within six months.
• If licensed after 2007 must obtain ARRT certification within 1 year of hire.
• Must obtain AHA BLS within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs Radiology, CT’s and/or mammography/bone density procedures using anatomy knowledge and Radiologic techniques.
• Assists radiologist in interventional procedures and provides images for interpretation.
• Follows safety guidelines for patient/staff and provides Radiologic safety education.
• Follows organizational standards for patient identification, education, consents, and order verification.
• Participates in QA/QC procedures and maintains equipment, image quality, documentation, and safety.
