Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Mammo Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring high-quality imaging with patient comfort and safety. The role requires NYS Radiologic Technologist licensure (or within six months) and ARRT-R certification within six months, with QA duties and cross-training as needed.

The position is per diem, typically Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts between 6:45am-5:30pm, with weekend requirements and potential assignment to other RRH imaging locations

Qualifications

• Two year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology or must obtain licensure within six months of employment.
• ARRT-R certification required within six months of employment.
• Primary source education verification required within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Maintains documentation of exams and procedures in RIS/PACS and patient charts.
• Performs screening, diagnostic mammography and assists radiologist.
• Monitors image quality per ACR standards.
• Monitors equipment for proper performance.
• Performs Mammography QA activities under supervision.
• Follows department protocols and safety policies.
• Assist or rotate to other imaging modalities as required.
