Job summary

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Radiology department. You will perform CT scans, prepare patients, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate results.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, administering IV contrast per protocol, maintaining sterile technique, and upholding radiation safety guidelines. The role requires ARRT Radiology certification and BLS, with competency in RIS and MAR systems.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate from ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB program.
• Ability to interpret orders and verify with Radiologist.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and prepare them for procedures.
• Interview patients to obtain medical history and document EMR data.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist during procedures.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol.
• Evaluate image quality and request additional reconstructions when needed.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment issues.
• Rotate shifts and participate in codes if necessary.
• Operate radiology computer systems and document contrast in MAR.
• Keep work areas clean and stocked.
