Requires ARRT radiologic technology registry and ARRT CT registry within two years of hire, state licensure, and an Associate's degree (or related field). CPR, PEEPS, and IV training are also required.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiologic technology registry completion required.
• ARRT CT registry completion required within two years of hire.
• State licensure on Radiation Protection required.
• Associate's degree required; may be substituted within related field within 3 years.
• CPR certification required.
• Yearly PEEPS certification for proper positioning and transfer.
• IV training course completion required.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses; follows Joint Commission regulations.
• Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
• Assists in coordinating workflow and patient care activities.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning.
• Assists in learning for students and new staff in department procedures and safety.
