Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging and related duties in a multi-site setting (Smyrna, Middletown, Newark, and Helen Graham Cancer Center). The role requires ARRT registries, state licensure, and a related associate degree, with CPR and IV training.

You will ensure accurate patient data, assist with workflow, and maintain safety and compliance. The position offers day shifts with weekend rotation and competitive benefits, including health insurance and retirement

Qualifications

• Completion of ARRT registry in radiologic technology required (two-year accredited program).
• Completion of ARRT registry in CT scan required (within two years of hire).
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required.
• An Associate’s degree is required; in three years, degree must be obtained as per agreement.
• Certification in CPR is required.
• Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper positioning and transfer of patients.
• Completion of IV training course.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of CT Scan Testing on outpatients per department procedures.
• Perform other diagnostic imaging exams as skills permit.
• Perform clerical and scheduling duties as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with CT Scanner Units and related systems.
• Perform CT procedures and quality control per department guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with local/state/federal regulations and Joint Commission rules.
• Enter accurate patient study information into clinical care systems.
• Assist in coordinating workflow and patient care activities.
• Obtain clinical history and appropriate consent for examinations.
• Verify insurance pre-authorization prior to scanning.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and use two identifiers.
• Assist in training students and new staff in procedures and safety.
