Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a CT technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures, operate CT equipment, and maintain patient safety. The role involves rotating through diagnostic radiology and adhering to radiation safety standards across all duties.

Qualified candidates have a Medical Imaging Program background, ARRT/NMTCB certification within 6 months, and a valid radiography license as required by their state board. This is a full-time position with standard shifts.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
  • Radiography certification with ARRT or NMTCB within 6 months of hire.
  • Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares room, equipment, materials for patient exams with sterile technique.
  • Performs examinations per Physician’s orders and explains procedures to patients.
  • Documents variations from protocol and relays patient data to Radiologist.
  • Maintains stock, labels films, and follows infection control policies.
  • Practices safe radiation exposure and general patient safety at all times.
  • Uses PACS to ensure exams are completed and available for radiologist review.
